We are very excited to share the news of our very first podcast called, Beckfield Means Business. The goal of the podcast is to create a platform where faculty and students of the Business program at Beckfield College can connect with the business community. This digital platform allows our school and community to share ideas and foster meaningful discussions. The quarterly podcast is hosted by Dr. Okere, Beckfield’s Dean of Business Administration. The subjects will vary but focus on bringing you real-world topics and guests to discuss relative issues with what is going on in our world today.
The podcast is also open to current Beckfield business students to get involved in sharing their experiences and information they have learned while enrolled in the program. The podcast offers a great experience to Beckfield business students in learning how to host, edit and generate content for digital platforms.

Kendra (guest): I had to have flexibility. I was late to go to college. I didn’t go directly out of high school. I already had responsibilities. I had a house payment, I had a car payment and for me, the luxury of just focusing on my education wasn’t a possibility.
Dr. Okere (host): That’s the same story that many of our students here at Beckfield College. They come from all walks of life. They are mothers, they are fathers, they are spouses… They have jobs and they may have started off at one particular college and they didn’t feel that they were getting enough or being fulfilled; they needed a smaller environment, so they chose Beckfield.
